RAMAPO - The hunt is on for the people responsible for breaking into parked cars along one street in Rockland County.

Police say about a half-dozen cars have been broken into along Headden Drive in Ramapo.

In some cases, windows were smashed, and in other cases, cars were left unlocked. "People are leaving valuables in plain sight, making it an easy target and people are breaking the windows, or they're just leaving their doors open, giving people an opportunity to get in," says Ramapo Police Sgt. Christopher Youngman.

Sgt. Youngman say keep valuables hidden and lock car doors at all times.
