The Poughkeepsie woman accused of murdering her fiance faced an Orange County Court judge again on Tuesday.

Angelika Graswald, of Poughkeepsie, is accused of causing her fiance’s drowning while kayaking in the Hudson River last April.

State Police Senior Investigator Aniello Moscato testified for hours today during the pretrial hearing about Graswald's behavior after the drowning and her alleged admissions made to police days later.

Moscato testified at length about her seemingly happy behavior and partying days after Vincent Viafore drowned.

Moscato recanted how Graswald told another investigator with them that she pulled out Viafore's kayak plug and tampered with his paddle. He said Graswald had trouble answering basic questions about the couple's outing that day and referenced being able to find her phone, which she previously stated was lost in the water.

A key element to the case during trial will be an 11-hour interrogation video, which the defense claims shows Graswald being coerced into making false admission statements. While prosecutors allege Graswald tampered with her fiance's kayak to cash out on a life insurance policy, Graswald's defense says that Viafore's death was a tragic accident because he wasn't wearing a life jacket.
