NYACK - It's going to be another hot, hazy, humid day across the Hudson Valley.

News 12 Meteorologist Brysen Van Eck say that temperatures are expected to reach in the mid-90s this afternoon and, with the humidity, it will feel more like 100 degrees. Van Eck expects it to be dry and doesn't see any sort of rain or thunderstorms.

Storms may arrive tomorrow, keeping the temperatures in the high 80's and keeping the region from reaching an official heat wave.

Health officials are warning that prolonged exposure to the heat and humidity can lead to heat exhaustion or heat stroke. They also say there is an air quality alert in effect for the region because of elevated amount of pollutants.

Con Edison and O and R officials are asking everyone to conserve energy to avoid power outages during the heatwave. They suggest keeping your air conditioning at 78 when you're home and turn it off while you're away.
