MIDDLETOWN - The 10th annual Hoboken International Film Festival kicked off in Middletown Friday night.

The festival was moved from Jersey City after Superstorm Sandy damaged the area.

The weeklong festival takes place at the Paramount Theatre in Middletown.

HIFF's opening night celebration included an award for excellence in film and the arts presented to Paul Sorvino.

Sorvino is best known for his roles in "Goodfellas" and Oliver Stone's "Nixon." 

Sorvino's new film, "The Price of Freedom," premiered at the festival, which runs through June 4.
