Hudson Valley drivers frustrated by potholes

TAPPAN - Potholes are popping up and causing big problems around the Hudson Valley.

Eastern State Tire in West Nyack says the potholes have brought in plenty of business. Employees say this winter seems to be worse than last.

Officials with the state Department of Transportation say this season has been rough on the roads. They are patrolling for potholes and making temporary fixes, but can only do permanent repairs when the weather improves.

Anyone who comes across a pothole can report it to the state DOT by calling 1-800-POTHOLE.
