WEST NYACK - Incumbent Sen. David Carlucci defeated Republican challenger Tom Deprisco Tuesday in the race for the 38th state Senate District.

Carlucci cast his ballot Tuesday morning with his family at Saint Francis of Assisi Church in West Nyack. He won a fourth term in the state Senate.

Deprisco, a retired New York City police officer, voted with his family at Pearl River High School.

The 38th state Senate District includes all of Rockland County, as well as Ossining.
