HARRIMAN - A Jeep on the New York State Thruway caught fire Wednesday causing extensive delays during the evening commute.

State police say a Jeep Liberty was passing through the E-ZPass express lane in Harriman when it burst into flames just before 6 p.m. Viewer video captured heavy smoke and flames shooting from the Jeep.

Two northbound lanes were closed for about an hour.

No one was hurt.

Investigators are still looking into what sparked the flames.
