SUUFERN - A driver got more than he bargained for when he tried to cross a river in Rockland County on Monday.

Police say the driver was off-roading when he decided to try and drive across the Ramapo River in Suffern.

The Jeep got stuck and had to be towed out eventually.

The 23-year-old Pomona driver was issued several tickets by the state DEP and DEC.
