TARRYTOWN - There was a showing of support and increased police patrols at Jewish community centers in Westchester County Tuesday a day after bomb threats were made there and at other centers nationwide.

Mike Kaplowitz, chairman of the Westchester County Board of Legislators, says Monday's threats were part of a coordinated attack linked to 19 similar threats nationwide.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo has ordered state police to join the FBI and local police to investigate threats at the JCC of Mid-Westchester in Scarsdale and the JCC on the Hudson in Tarrytown.

Legislator Ben Boykin vows to get the Westchester Human Rights Commission involved and coordinate with police and community groups to spread the message that hate has no place in the county or country. The Westchester Jewish Council is also on board.

National JCC leaders are calling for swift action from the federal government.
