MARGARETVILLE - A K-9 unit found nearly 700 bags of heroin stashed in a secret dashboard panel and the center console of a vehicle following a traffic stop in Rockland County.

Joshua Levine, Debra Osborne and John Hall have been charged with possession of narcotics and hypodermic needles. Levine was also charged with driving under the influence after he refused to take a blood test.

Investigators say the trio was traveling home to Margaretville from New York City when they were pulled over for erratic driving.

New York State Police Capt. Brendan Casey warns that some of the heroin flowing into the Hudson Valley has been mixed with the powerful narcotic fentanyl, which is causing an increase in overdoses.
