Lisa Franklin, former Sacred Heart substitute teacher, pleads not guilty in rape of 13-year-old boy
NEW WINDSOR - A former Orange County teacher has pleaded not guilty to raping a 13-year-old student.
Lisa Franklin, a former Sacred Heart substitute teacher, is accused of raping a 13-year-old student from the Newburgh Catholic school for more than a year.
New Windsor police say the 44-year-old married mom met the boy at school, befriended the family, and tutored him privately. Police believe Franklin had oral sex and intercourse with the boy on multiple occasions.

Authorities say the parents of the 13-year-old found inappropriate texts and notified them in February.
Franklin is currently out on $10,000 bail.
