Motorcyclists provide vets with Thanksgiving meals

ORANGEBURG - About a dozen Harley Davidson motorcycles pulled up to the Rockland Homes for Heroes apartments in Orangeburg Wednesday afternoon to help give some local veterans a good Thanksgiving.

They brought with them baskets of food for the holiday and the thanks of the community through an effort by the local Harley Davidson dealership.

Some of the veterans have at times been homeless since getting out of the service.

There are a total of eight veterans in the complex.
