Murder trial for Spring Valley woman Maria Guaman-Guaman, accused of murdering her baby, to begin in May
SPRING VALLEY - A trial date has been set in the case of a Spring Valley mother accused of murdering her newborn son.
Maria Guaman-Guaman's murder trial will start in May. The woman allegedly strangled her infant son and threw his body in a dumpster last November.
The infant's body was later discovered at a recycling center in Elmsford and was named "Baby Angel."

Guaman-Guaman has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder charges.
