PEARL RIVER - The filming of NBC's "The Blacklist" continued today in Pearl River.

The TV show started filming in the area on Wednesday and premieres next week.

Parents had mixed reactions about the simulated gunfire, crashes and other noises near Franklin Elementary School. While some were excited about the shoot and said it brought good business to the town, other parents were more concerned.

“It's too close to the whole Newtown incident," said one concerned parent. "My son taught there - I don't like it."

The show, which stars James Spader, is scheduled to wrap up Friday morning in Pearl River.
