New choice for Greenwood Lake high school students

GREENWOOD LAKE - Parents in the Greenwood Lake Union Free School District will now have a choice of where to send their children to high school.

Greenwood Lake doesn't have its own high school so their students have been going to George F. Baker High School in Tuxedo for decades.

But after more than a year of debate, the district has decided next year's freshmen will now have to choose between Warwick and Chester high schools.

Officials say they are trying to work out a deal so students already attending George F. Baker High School can stay until they graduate.
