RYE - Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino has made a big announcement about the future of county-owned amusement park Playland.

At 87 years old, some would say that Playland amusement park in Rye is overdue for a renovation.

If all goes as planned, a pending deal could provide $25 million in renovations for the park. The renovation could include new rides and upgraded restaurants.

In order for the renovations to take place, the board of legislators must agree to the plan within 30 days for it to become a reality.
