Newburgh community members gathered at the Baptist Temple to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The group sang and prayed and held workshops, where they not only discussed Dr. King’s life but also the U.S. Supreme Court case Brown v. The Board of Education. (1/20/14)

NEWBURGH - Newburgh community members gathered at the Baptist Temple on Monday to celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and help pass on his message to younger generations. 

The group sang, prayed and held workshops, where they not only discussed Dr. King’s life but also the landmark Supreme Court case of Brown v. The Board of Education.

This May will mark six decades since the landmark case, which is considered one of the greatest victories of the Civil Rights movement.
