NEWBURGH - The second suspect wanted in the January murder of a Newburgh man has been extradited back to the Hudson Valley from Georgia.

Jacquelle James proclaimed his innocence to reporters as he was escorted to jail Tuesday night. Police say James and Darryl Daniels, both from Poughkeepsie, fatally shot Jarad Plante after robbing him.

Daniels was arrested last month in Poughkeepsie.

Cellphone records led police to Georgia, where they found James.
