Newburgh police arrest suspect in attempted murder

NEWBURGH - Newburgh police have arrested a man in connection with a shooting outside a bar last year.

Police have charged Robert McKenzie, 22, with second-degree attempted murder in connection with the shooting outside the Terrace Lounge back in November.

Officials say McKenzie shot Donovan "Snoop" James in the chest and back. James was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center and survived his injuries.

Police have not released details behind the shooting, but note that James has a long history of arrests and a prison record.
