HIGHLAND FALLS - A celebration was held Thursday for an Orange County teenager who's receiving national recognition.

Savannah Prosperie, 17, a senior at O'Neill High School in Highland Falls, has been named to the U.S. Army All-American Marching Band.

Savannah, who plays the clarinet, will now perform with the rest of the national group at the All-American Bowl in Texas in January. "I was a bundle of nerves, just practicing my speech, but when I got up here, all the nerves went away and I just enjoyed the experience," says Prosperie.

Prosperie says she hopes to attend West Point next year.
