ORANGEBURG - Orange & Rockland Utilities is getting ready for possible power outages due to Wednesday's winter storm.

The storm is expected to bring freezing rain that could cause branches to snap and power lines to come down.

O&R Spokesperson Mike Donovan says they've declared a company-wide "Storm Watch." They have 20 extra crews on standby starting at midnight and they are reaching out for more help to be ready if they need it.

Customers that lose power are urged to let the utility know right away. They have extra customer service representatives on standby.

O&R also reminds everyone to stay far away from any downed power lines.
