WHITE PLAINS - More than a dozen suspects accused in a major federal drug case in Rockland County on Tuesday pleaded guilty to charges.

The plea hearing in federal court in White Plains lasted most of the day, as groups of defendants were brought before a federal magistrate in shifts.

The 14 who entered pleas are among the 17 people charged in a federal indictment last March. They were hit with charges of conspiracy to distribute drugs in Rockland County, including the parking lots of the Palisades Center Mall.

State charges were also filed in the investigation, dubbed "True Blue," with a total of 29 people being arrested.

The federal indictment charged some with conspiracy to distribute oxycodone; some were also charged with conspiracy to distribute heroin.

Victor Esteban, the suspected ringleader, was among those pleading guilty, as was his alleged supplier, Juan Agramonte, of the Bronx.

There is still one more court proceeding for those pleading guilty in the case, and they will all be sentenced in May. Two of the defendants could get up to 40 years in prison.

The plea agreements did not involve three other defendants from New York City whose cases are still pending.
