YONKERS - The Delta plane that crashed into a fence at LaGuardia Airport Thursday has been removed from the runway.

As News 12 previously reported, the plane was making a landing just after 11 a.m. when it skidded, hit a chain link fence and stopped just feet away from the water.

Officials say about two dozen people suffered minor injuries in the incident. Passengers describe the event as a "frightening experience."

News 12 is told that cranes were used overnight to lift the jet off the runway.
