GOSHEN - Police charged a Goshen man with committing a hate crime after they say he vandalized buildings in Kiryas Joel earlier this week.

State police say James Blazeski, 24, of Goshen, scrawled anti-Semitic graffiti on the walls inside several buildings in the predominantly Orthodox Jewish village.

One of the messages read "Death to Jews."

Police say Blazeski made deliveries for a local store. They charged him with criminal mischief as a hate crime, a felony.

He is free on $2,500 bail and is due back in Monroe Town Court on April 7.
