Authorities say James Phillips died of smoke inhalation

Authorities say James Phillips died of smoke inhalation when his house went up in flames.

Officials have identified the Cortlandt Manor man killed this morning when his house caught fire.

Authorities say James Phillips died from smoke inhalation inside his home on Sprout Brook Road. They say the flames broke out at the two-story home just before 7 a.m., and that several fire departments put the fire out quickly before finding his body inside.
