Police investigate string of Nyack car torchings

NYACK - Police are trying to figure out who set a string of cars on fire in one Nyack neighborhood. Investigators say an arsonist or gang of arsonists torched four parked cars on Summit Street in Nyack early Tuesday morning at around 2:30 a.m.Victim Avon Cooper says the flames spread to her living room by the time firefighters reached her car.Investigators are still trying to determine what was used to torch the cars and how many people were involved in setting the fires.
