GREENVILLE - An investigation is under way regarding what caused a deadly car crash in Orange County.

Authorities say a woman was killed after she lost control of her car, and slammed into some trees.

The accident occurred around 2:30 p.m. yesterday on I-84 in Greenville, and shut down a stretch of that highway for hours.

An unidentified male passenger was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, and is said to be in critical condition this morning.
