RAMAPO - Some Ramapo residents are at odds with the town supervisor after they say he cut off their chance to speak at a public meeting.

They say Supervisor Christopher St. Lawrence plowed through the public agenda at a Town Board meeting before shifting it to an executive session and canceled another public meeting scheduled the following day.

The residents say they plan to protest outside Wednesday’s Town Board meeting.

They want the supervisor ousted after he was indicted last month on charges that he lied to investors and used taxpayer money to build a ballpark.

Residents say they are also angry about an investigation into town fire inspector Adam Peltz, who allegedly overlooked safety violations in private schools and yeshivas.
