RAMAPO - The embattled supervisor of Ramapo stepped down today as chair of two Rockland County boards.

Supervisor Christopher St. Lawrence stepped down as chair of Rockland Sewer District One and the county's Solid Waste Management. The news comes after two days of protests and calls for him to leave office altogether.

St. Lawrence was indicted last week on federal and fraud corruption charges for allegedly lying about Ramapo's finances and using millions of taxpayer dollars to fund a ballpark.

St. Lawrence has pleaded not guilty to the federal charges.
