SUFFERN - Suffern residents claim they were issued unfair parking tickets following the recent snowstorms.

Residents in Berkley Square apartments say they had to park on the streets Tuesday night because mountains of snow made it impossible to park in their apartment lot.

However, a Suffern village law forbids people from parking on the streets if there is a forecast of snow or falling snow.

Police say they issued about 20 of the $100 tickets in the entire village Tuesday night due to people parking on the streets during snow parking regulations.
