CLARKSTOWN - Rockland crews geared up Monday for the county's first blast of wintry weather this season.

Rockland Highway Department Superintendent Skip Vezzetti said his crews and equipment have been prepped for months. The department’s response depends on the storm’s development, he said.

While some residents were dreading the wintry weather, some others told News 12 they were actually looking forward to it.

Some snow, freezing rain and sleet is on tap for the Hudson Valley through Tuesday morning.
