CLARKSTOWN - The Rockland district attorney's office is taking a drastic step against the Town of Clarkstown police department by halting email communication with the law enforcement officers.

The decision comes after allegtions that town officials accessed police emails.

Two Rockland County police chiefs have also followed suit and say they'll only communicate with the Clarkstown police over the phone or in person.

According to an online report, District Attorney Thomas Zugibe says the action is a necessary step, even if it does slow down communication.
