HAVERSTRAW - Two men from Rockland County are behind bars this morning after being charged with attempted murder in a shooting in Haverstraw.

Investigators say James Sanders, 29, of West Haverstraw, and Garlain Francois, 22, of Spring Valley, were arguing with a group of people when one of them pulled out a gun and opened fire. None of the shots hit the intended target, and no one was hurt.

The violence happened on Allison Avenue and Broad Street last week.

The suspects are being held at Rockland County Jail on $250,000 bail.
