NYACK - The snowstorm that blanketed the Hudson Valley should clear by the overnight hours.

News 12 reporter Carol Wilkinson was in downtown Nyack where restaurants and some local shops were still open.

The storm brought several inches to Rockland and Orange counties, and will start to taper off around 8 p.m.

Officials have urged residents to stay clear of the roadways while crews attempt to clean up the snow accumulations.
