THEILLS - A North Rockland High School teacher is helping to send kids to college.

Daniela Savone recently taught a cooking class at the high school. Now, she's crafted a cookbook of her grandmother's recipes called "Cuchina de la Nona" or "Grandmother's Kitchen."

She's already raised $1,000 in three weeks. It's all going toward the North Rockland Scholarship Fund. “I’m really excited for them. I'm glad it means that much to them and they appreciated [it] and they know what it's going to do for them,” says Savone.

Today is graduation day for hundreds of seniors at North Rockland.
