School bus carrying 72 kids crashes in Monsey

MONSEY - A school bus accident on Route 306 in Monsey sent 72 children to the hospital this afternoon.

The incident happened at the intersection of Route 306 and 2nd Street at around 12:45 p.m., when the school bus was rear-ended by a minivan.

The driver of the school bus transporting students from an all-boys yeshiva says he was slowing down in traffic when he was hit from behind.

All of the 72 students were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital to be checked out as a precaution. No one was injured.
