THEILLS - Elementary school kids from Stony Point Elementary School teamed up with students from North Rockland High School in Thiells to deliver the message that it’s never too soon, and you're never too young, to stand up to cancer.

The message was delivered Thursday, via Facebook Live, to a nationwide audience.

It was all part of an annual Sports Day for Charity fundraiser. Each year, thousands of dollars are raised to benefit North Rockland County charities.  This year the students teamed up against cancer.

"Sports Day for Charity raises money for the North Rockland community for families in need, Stand Up to Cancer and Friends of Karen," explains Jennifer Labier, of Stony Point Elementary School.

Sports Day for Charity raised $20,000 last year.
