MIDDLETOWN - Authorities in Middletown say they are looking for four men who have now been missing for almost two weeks, and family members say the last contact they had seemed suspicious.

Salazar says family members spoke to one of the men on the phone the evening the men disappeared hours after their car was spotted on tape.

"He was like, 'Your dad can't answer the phone, and I can't pass him to you,'" says Monica Salazar, 19, who is the niece of one of the missing men and cousin to two others. "And from then, that's it."

City police say Martin Santos-Luna, Miguel Sosa-Luna, Urbano Morales-Santiago and Hector Gutierrez have been missing since April 11.

According to police, a vehicle the four were last seen in has been recovered in the village of Chester.

Salazar says the family reported the men missing after they did not return home from a pig farm in Ulster County. Around the same time, police say they found the missing men's car 26 miles away from the farm, at the Chester Diner.

"Phones are off," Salazar says. "There's not even a trace of where they can be."

In motion-activated surveillance video obtained by News 12, the black SUV is shown pulling up to the diner at 2 p.m. Both front doors open and close, but the men are not seen. None of them went inside the restaurant.

Anyone with information about the men's whereabouts is asked to call Middletown police.
