Second man convicted in 2010 Yonkers bank heist

YONKERS - A second man has been convicted in a 2010 Yonkers bank heist that occurred at a Chase bank on Central Park Avenue.

Leroy Scott pleaded guilty this week to plotting the armed robbery.

Prosecutors say he was one of six men linked to the heist.

Authorities say Scott and two others ordered a bank employee to open the vault, and then proceeded to leap over the counter and grab the money.

Police reported that the suspects met up at an apartment in The Bronx to share the loot.
