HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON - Hudson Valley residents spent their Saturday digging out from the first significant snowfall of the season, a system that had a mixture of snow, sleet and rain.

The storm started Friday night and continued through Saturday morning, leaving three to six inches across the area, a reminder of what's to come with winter just days away.

No snow is in the immediate forecast. Temperatures are expected to rise overnight into Sunday.
