SPRING VALLEY - Some firefighters helped with a special delivery in Spring Valley on Tuesday.

Firefighters dealing with a fuel spill at a gas station wound up helping a mother-to-be who was about to give birth in a cab.

Spring Valley’s fire chief says it was something he's not used to doing as a firefighter. "It felt great. With all the bad stuff that happens around here, it was good to do something nice," says Chief Ken Sohlman.

The mother and baby are reported to be doing well when they finally got to the hospital.
