Storm downs trees, power lines through the Hudson Valley

NEW CITY - Downed trees and power lines were found throughout the Hudson Valley Monday after powerful thunderstorms moved across the area.

News 12 was in New City where a tree fell on an enclosed porch and the backside of a home on New Valley Road.

The oak tree was apparently rocking back and forth during the storm and split. It broke some windows, but the damage was considered not too serious.

One person was inside the home at the time, but was not injured.
