POMONA - The plug will be pulled next Thursday for the staff at the Summit Park Hospital and Nursing Home in Pomona.

Around 280 full-time jobs will be impacted by the closure.

While many don't have new jobs yet, some say they are retiring, found new jobs or will continue working within the building, in a different role.

The hospital and nursing home were supposed to be sold off in September, but the buyer backed out, leaving no other option than to shut them down.

There are currently no patients in the building.

Operations will cease on Dec. 31.
