WEST NYACK - It's turtle time in West Nyack.

Every spring, droves of snapping turtles walk out of the wetlands along the Hackensack River in search of higher, drier land to lay their eggs.

Some people in the neighborhood helped the reptiles out by putting up "Turtle Crossing" signs in the area as a warning to drivers.
