Union Restaurant in Haverstraw hosts 'We Care' event, providing free meals to families

HAVERSTRAW - A local restaurant is continuing this week its six-year tradition of providing meals to families in need. 

The Union Restaurant in Haverstraw is hosting its sixth annual We Care event Monday through Wednesday, where children and families are provided with free meals.

The restaurant's owners started We Care after realizing many people in Rockland County were going hungry because of hard economic times.
