SPRING VALLEY - It's mid-December and while Christmas is coming, the winter weather shows no sign of cooling down.

Residents in Spring Valley find themselves puzzled by the fact that they have yet to grab their snow shovels.

"We should have had something by now," said John Munroe, of the Rockland County Highway Department. "It's a little unusual with the warm weather."

Reports say that although the salt trucks are lying low, they are ready to go should winter arrive.

Most people don't seem to mind the warmer weather, but agree that figuring out what to wear has been confusing.

"I have my hoodie just in case it's really warm outside," said Spring Valley resident Samuel Auguste.

Though many are still hoping for a white Christmas, temperatures for Christmas Day are expected to be in the 50s with no signs of snow.
