NYACK - Hurricane Joaquin appears to be sparing the East Coast, but wet weather from an unrelated storm system will remain across Westchester and Hudson Valley today.

The latest projections show that the hurricane will be pushed east and out to sea, and will not make landfall in the US.

News 12 meteorologists say heavy rain and wind will continue throughout the morning before tapering off to scattered showers by late afternoon.

Temperatures will stay in the low 50s, with wind gusts of up to 20 mph.

Sunday should see more cloudy skies and windy weather.
