Weather Update: Snow gone, cold moves in

NYACK - A snowstorm that dumped over a foot of snow in some areas of the Hudson Valley has moved on, but artic cold temperatures have moved in.

News 12 Meteorologist Brysen Van Eck says a wind chill advisory is in effect for the entire region. He says gusty winds will make 'feels like' temperatures in some areas around 17 below zero.

While there may be a scattered flurry in the area, the wind will also cause snow drift conditions adding to the difficulty of snow removal.

Van Eck says the freezing temperatures will last well into next week with high temperatures in the teens today and tomorrow. He says temperatures will only approach 32 degrees on Saturday and then drop again on Sunday.
