NYACK - A storm bringing a mix of snow and rain is interrupting Spring across the Hudson Valley.

News 12 Meteorologist Brysen Van Eck say the that most of Rockland and Westchester counties will see mainly rain for most of the day, but Orange, Putnam, and Dutchess counties could get a coating to two inches of snow.

Van Eck says temperatures will continue to rise throughout the day and that the snow will mostly be above the I-84 corridor and in areas above 800 feet in elevation.

Van Eck says that there will be a break in precipitation in the late morning/early afternoon, but plain rain should return to most of the area until later this evening. The good news is that the wind should be calm for most of the day.

Temperatures will drop later this evening with highs in the upper 20s, and it will continue to be chilling on Tuesday with a high in the low 40s.
