Westchester Democrats call for independent audit of Rye Playland

YONKERS - Democrats in Westchester are calling for an independent audit of Rye Playland.

The Democrats say the county-run amusement park deserves a full financial and operational audit to help lawmakers make decisions about its future.

New numbers released last month show attendance and revenues are both down at the park this summer.

In a vote along party lines on the county board's government operations committee, Democrats voted for the audit.

The move goes up for a full vote by the county board next month. WC Democrats hold conference to discuss Rye Playland's future
